50th Anniversary Time Capsules

ABOUT THE TIME CAPSULES

The WFIU Time Capsules are two-minute programming modules that document the station's history and growth during its first 50 years in the context of world and national events, as well as local events in Bloomington and in the IU community.
Each Time Capsule recalls a specific year between 1950 and 1999, and includes a standard ten-second open and close.
These twenty-five Time Capsules were created between March 1st and July 15, 2001., and were broadcast on WFIU from April through October of 2001. They were researched, written and produced by Paul Messing, and voiced by various WFIU personnel.
